Mukuni village previously known as “Gundu” was founded in the 13th century and later named after the ruler (Mukuni). It is home to the Leya people. This is a working village and gives guests the opportunity to experience how local Zambian in a village live. You get to meet and talk with the friendly villagers, learn how their huts (homes) are built and decorated, and see the locals at work creating hand crafts.
